The CTools News tool allows site owners to display automatically-updated news feeds from a variety of sources within their CTools site. University of Michigan news is included if no other RSS feed is specified.

Site owners can customize their News feature by entering a web address for any RSS news feed. Many feeds can be found by searching Google for RSS feeds in your area of interest.

Undergraduate Spanish classes have customized News to include news feeds from Latin American publications.

Instructors could use News to display supplemental reading on current topics \ related to the course, such as health articles for a Nursing class.
